Service 4: Group coaching on MEL for AIS

About this service

DeSIRA-LIFT MEL experts will deliver various services targeting groups of projects to offer co-learning opportunities in designing and implementing MEL approaches dedicated to Agriculture Innovation Systems strengthening interventions. In doing so, we will connect with other Service Area 1 activities.

With the MEL services, we aim to stimulate utilisation of M&E, address MEL challenges the projects might be facing, and connect project partners in learning about MEL, as well as advocate for learning-oriented approaches.

Target audience and beneficiaries

Our primary target are MEL and communication officers and project managers. Most of the MEL support we offer is however open to all projects and staff, including a MEL helpdesk, topical MEL sessions, and outcome harvesting sessions. Our group mentoring support is accessible to groups of projects in the four geographical clusters CLUSTER 1 – Western Africa, Central Africa & Madagascar, CLUSTER 2 – Asia & Pacific Islands, CLUSTER 3 – Eastern and Southern Africa, CLUSTER 4 – Central America, Southern America & the Caribbean.

We expect to have at least one MEL group per geographic cluster.

Projects within these clusters will be invited to participate in a trajectory of mentoring sessions. A selection will be made based on the MEL-readiness of the projects, which will be partly based on participation in the other non-selective MEL services.
